On June 4, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry Qi Dahai and Director of the Legal Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Musikhin Maksim Vyacheslavovich held consultations on international law in Beijing. Representatives from the Russian Embassy in China attended the meeting.

The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the current situation regarding international law and important issues of international law of mutual concern.
